  Why is God's punishment always nonsensical?

  10 Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command. 2 So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord. 3 Moses then said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke of when he said:

  “‘Among those who approach me
  I will be proved holy;
  in the sight of all the people
  I will be honored.’”

  Aaron remained silent.

  

  If you are to believe this story, you really need to question why God has to kill people who disobey his orders. Nadab and Abihu do not follow his orders and procedures. God is so incensed that he strikes them dead with fire and burns them to cinders.

  Why didn't God just blind them, make them deaf or give them some kind of disorder?

  George Carlin ( a comedian ) once said: Religion has convinced people that there's an invisible man ... living in the sky. Who watches everything you do every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a list of ten specific things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do any of these things, he will send you to a special place, of burning and fire and smoke and torture and anguish for you to live forever, and suffer, and suffer, and burn, and scream, until the end of time. But he loves you.

  Do we really need this many prayers in a day?

  Rules and regulations, don’t forget that the WT society is the “channel” that the only true God is using, so they know better than you whether to do plumbing work at a Catholic Church or not. Why, what if you were in the church when Armageddon strikes, you might lose your life! 🤮

  Thirty years ago I started a landscaping company. There are many landscapers at your local Kingdom Halls. An elder ( who was also a landscaper ) advised me that I cannot do any lawn maintenance or any plantings for any church ( Babylon the Great ).

  So, walking on a Church property and maintaining it is wrong, but it's alright when the Watchtower Society sell their Kingdom Halls to another Church.

  "So before we make a decision, we need to think about what the Bible says and then obey it. We can pray to Jehovah to help us make decisions that will please him."

  So, if I want to listen to ''heavy metal music'' and the Bible has no say so in the matter, how will praying give me the answer?

  I would like to work at a Catholic Church High School as a plumber. The Bible has no say so in the matter, but the Society teach that we should not be employed for a ''Babylon the Great'' facility? How will praying help me get the answer?

  The Watchtower Society always overrule any personal decisions!

  Prayer—What It Can Do for You

  Like Jesus, many today have been reassured when they have seen how God has responded to their requests for help in making wise decisions. Regina, in the Philippines, tells of the various problems she has faced, such as supporting herself and her family after the death of her husband, losing a job, and experiencing difficulty in raising children. What has helped her to make wise decisions? She says, “I depend on Jehovah’s help through prayer.” Kwabena, in Ghana, tells why he asked for God’s help, “I lost my well-paying job in construction.” About considering his options, he says, “I consistently prayed to Jehovah for guidance in making the right decision.” He adds, “I feel strongly that Jehovah helped me to choose a career that enables me to care for my spiritual and physical needs.” You too can experience God’s guidance by praying about matters that could affect your relationship with him.

  Kwabena loses a well-paying job. How does Kwabena find a new job? Does he look at local job sites, network or even send out resumes to local employers? That is too hard!

  Kwabena prays to Jehovah. Jehovah helps him choose a career where he gets paid a decent wage and has time to make his meetings and field service. Jehovah must be the greatest networker.

  So, can explain anyone how Jehovah found this job for Kwabena, and how was Kwabena guided to apply for this job? Did the ''holy spirit'' walk him to the employer or did the ''holy spirit'' have a link on his computer, where an employer was waiting for Kwabena to fill?

  If it is so easy to pray for a job, there would be no unemployed Jehovah's Witnesses, and no ne would be holding manual labor jobs that pay minimum wage!

  Even a prayer of thanks is unnecessary as if you are truly grateful He already knows it before you receive your Godly gift and before you appreciate it.

  Adults who have children never ask for daily gratitude from their children for providing food, clothing and for putting them through school. Parents don't need a daily phone call from their children thanking them for everything they have done for them.

  Employers don't need to be thanked and worshipped on a daily basis for providing employment. If someone hands you a gift, a one time thank you is enough.

  (under president knorr 1950) brother knorr invited me to join the writing department...when i told him it did not matter where i served he reproved me..saying when an added privilege is offered we should be eager to accept it...my attitude was due to my health which has always been a problem.

  knorr was older we were like brothers with the older brother knorr prone to expressing inpatients to my short comings.

  Yes, it was painfully obvious about the Witnesses’ terrible attitudes about women.

  Attitude towards rape:
  

  “Thus if a Christian woman does not cry out and does not put forth every effort to flee, she would be viewed as consenting to the violation.” Watchtower 1964 Jan 15 pp.63-4

  Attitude towards domestic abuse:

  “He might be extremely physically abusive, even to the point that she feels that her health or life is in danger. He might refuse to support her and the family or severely endanger her spirituality. … some Christians have personally decided that … a separation is necessary.   You eat dinner...you pray to Jehovah for your food

  You go to bed...you pray to Jehovah for living one more day of life

  Dear Mr. Evans,
  

  I am guilty by association. I have read that over 13 people have been sued by your Law Firm for defamation. Your case is as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar!

  Before you send any more letters, I have instructed my kids that they hand over their penny collection. I don't think it amounts to $3000, but that's the best I can do. By breaking the glass and counting the pennies, it will be an acknowledgment that I will be dismissed from your lawsuit.

  I didn't think it would ever come down to this, but what a big relief it is. Now, I can sleep at night!

  How many of you remember the "Pioneer Shuffle " and the special "time reporting" of pioneers?

  i started pioneering in my late teens an remember how slow pioneers would walk to the doors while out in circus.

  also, they would not really talk to anybody at all.

  they would start their time as soon as they got dressed an out the door, while us regular shucks started our time at the first door we knocked at.

  I thought it was the height of hypocrisy for older JWs collecting their pensions who were obviously in the workforce telling younger gullible JWs to pursue poverty and pioneer.

  I never pioneered in my 40 years in. I was lucky to put in 8 hours per month in field service. I hated every minute of field service. Nothing but doing the dirty work of the Watchtower Society.

  My congregation had 2 Elders who owned a construction business and pioneered many months a year. They had sub-contractors who would start and finish their work. They had plenty of money and time to pioneer. Each of their wives pioneered because they didn't have to work for a living.

  All they stressed on the podium...''Try to pioneer a couple of months per year.'' Yeah, it's easy for you hound members because your not living week to week. These morons were just like the Society...pound pioneering week after week until some caved in. These Elders would take members off to the side and ask, ''Why aren't you pioneering for the summer months?''
